Introduction

Founded in 2008, Yongquan Electromechanical is an established supplier in the spare-parts sector for biaxially oriented film lines. The company has five experienced engineers and 25 employees at its Shaoxing facility, focusing on spare parts and technical services for biaxial film production lines. It also operates specialist manufacturing facilities in Anhui and Nanjing, supporting film producers and equipment manufacturers.

TDO Chain and Clip Refurbishment

Since 2022, Yongquan has represented SKF’s full bearing range. TDO clip bearings and commonly used chain and clip wear parts are kept in stock. Following years of research and practical experience, Yongquan launched full-line TDO chain and clip refurbishment in 2018. Services also include equipment overhauls, production-line modifications and chain leasing. At the end of 2024, the company moved to a new facility and invested in dedicated operating, cleaning and inspection equipment. The factory-based service now refurbishes around three production lines per month.

Production-Line Downtime Means Losses. Chain Refurbishment Matters.

Speed, temperature and tension are the lifeblood of TDO processing, all depending on a stable, reliable chain. Wear, elongation, loose pins or seized joints can cause film-thickness variation, increase the risk of web breaks, raise energy use and reduce production capacity.

Yongquan offers more than refurbishment: it provides a systematic restoration process focused on chain performance.

Chain Removal and Reinstallation

Yongquan can send experienced engineers and installation personnel to provide on-site guidance and assist with removal and reinstallation. Dedicated guide rails are also available.

Chain Cleaning

Custom high-efficiency cleaning equipment removes heavy oil deposits and low-molecular-weight residues, leaving chain and clip components clean and ready for inspection.

Detailed Inspection

Precision gauges measure cumulative pitch error, while an electron microscope is used to assess surface wear. Detailed evaluation helps prevent defective parts from returning to production.

Original or Equivalent Replacement Parts

For pins with light wear on one side, the pin can be turned over for reuse at the customer’s request, with a new imported cotter pin fitted. For severely worn pins, Yongquan offers a domestic replacement service. The replacement chain pins are reground on high-precision CNC equipment and finished with a special surface coating. They can be used in place of the original parts at a much lower price than imported originals.

Attention to Detail and Strict Quality Control

Each refurbished chain is inspected by dedicated personnel to confirm assembly completeness, assembly accuracy and joint flexibility, helping ensure stable operation after reinstallation.

Choosing Yongquan means not only reducing costs, but also investing in quality and operating stability. Restore stable production and consistent quality.

Separate Floors for Disassembly and Assembly

Chain refurbishment used to take place on a single floor, where complex processes, limited space and a cluttered work area affected efficiency and safety. A second-floor assembly workshop is now in use. The workflow and work areas have been reorganized to improve order and maintenance quality.

Improved Efficiency

Parallel work in designated areas reduces space constraints during handling and can shorten the overall delivery cycle.

A Cleaner Factory-Based Process

A cleaner, more professional assembly environment further improves the outgoing refurbishment standard.

Increased Capacity

Better use of floor space helps meet larger batch orders.

Give TDO Chains a Second Life: Near-New Performance at Lower Cost

Chain refurbishment lets Yongquan handle one of the largest and messiest parts of a production-line overhaul. Faced with new-chain procurement costs that can reach millions of yuan and long delivery times, waiting for a replacement is no longer the only option.

Yongquan’s TDO chain refurbishment offers a cost-effective, high-performance alternative. Handling major overhaul work also helps keep the maintenance shop tidier and frees technicians to focus on unresolved equipment issues.

  • Cost savings: With the same replacement parts and repair process, refurbishment may cost only half as much as an OEM replacement, significantly reducing spare-parts and maintenance costs.
  • Shorter turnaround: The standardized refurbishment process takes around half the OEM delivery time. Expedited work can be discussed, reducing unplanned downtime.
  • Performance standard: The refurbished chain’s performance is benchmarked against a new OEM product.
